In
student life, we depend on our parents to lend us some money in the form of
pocket money. But this pocket money do not last for a month. Then we have to
wait for our distant relatives, who visit our home very less, and when they
come, pull our cheeks and give us some money. Admit it or not, we all have been
there. But today you can earn on your own, without doing much too. There are
many part
time job for students available nowadays
like working in local stores, cafe, as a dog walker, lifeguard or lawn care.
Here are some benefits of doing a part time job that students and parents
should know to decide whether to go on this path or not.
- Feel
of responsibility. When students work, they get a sense of responsibility.
Whenever they see their father or mother working hard and coming from office
all tired, they feel inspired and think of working like them one day. If they
start on early on this path, they get mature soon. They get the importance of
money and learn how to handle them. They feel more like an adult.
- Time
management. Students after coming from school or college spend all time on
either watching TV or computers or laying around doing nothing. If they work
for sometime after school, they learn the time mangement. They can put their
time to good use. They can learn the importance of being on time and that
wasting time in doing nothing is bad.
- Peek
in the working world. Working world is simply not fair for some people. They
have to work all day in a job they do not even like, but since they have mouths
to feed, they are stuck in that job. So if students start on early, they will
have more time to decide which work they like and where they would love to work
in the coming time.
- Star on resume. If you have worked earlier and have some experience, then would reflect a positive point in your resume. So working part time can help you fetch even better job in future.
So
benefits of part time job are many. Parents should encourage their children to
have home
based jobs. It would lift self esteem of
their children too.
